Privacy Policy
Futureown - Local Music Player for iPhone · September 2026 · Deutsche Fassung ↓
The app does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.
What stays on your device
- Your music files. On import the app stores a copy in its own storage area on the device. These copies never leave it.
- Title, artist, album, artwork, playlists, favorites and the trash, held in a database inside the app.
- Your settings – equalizer, volume levelling, sorting and the like.
No outside connection
The app makes no network connections at all – not to play, not to import, not for artwork, and not for analytics, ads or crash reports. There is no server for it to talk to.
A song's artwork comes from the file itself, if one is embedded in it, or from an image you pick yourself. An earlier version queried the iTunes Store search for this; that has been removed entirely.
Not a single byte leaves your device. The app works completely offline, including in airplane mode.
Photos
When you set your own artwork, the app opens the system photo picker and receives only the single image you choose. It has no access to your photo library and therefore asks for no permission.
Files from other apps
When you share an audio file with the music player, the system places a copy in the app's area. It is taken into the library and then deleted. Your original file is left untouched.
What the developer receives
Nothing. There is no server for the app to send anything to. The developer has no access to your library, your settings or how you use the app.
Apple provides developers with aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics on downloads and crashes. That data comes from Apple, not from this app, and cannot be traced to individuals.
Deleting
Deleting the app removes everything with it – music files, database and settings. Nothing is left behind and nothing is held anywhere else.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights including access, rectification, erasure and data portability. As no data about you is collected or stored, the developer holds nothing that could be disclosed or erased. For questions, use the address below.

Was auf deinem Gerät bleibt
- Deine Musikdateien.
Was der Entwickler bekommt
Nichts.
